Andy is the director of Tennis and Head Coach at Capital Coaching. He is self motivated with high standards. Andy has had 15 years of tennis development and coaching experience and holds a higher national diploma in sports science majority in sport psychology.
His enthusiastic and professional approach to all his student, his dynamic and energetic personality and dedication and experience make him one of the best people to help improve your game. He was awarded Tennis NZ’s club coach of the year in 2012.
Andy’s track record in the Wellington Tennis scene has included achieving the 2009 National Teams Event (Gold) for under 12s and a current pupil secured the Doubles National Title (Gold) for under 12s.
Andy was formerly Head Tennis Coach at the Edgar centre in Dunedin, before which he worked alongside former doubles champion, world ranked 23rd (partnered with Brett Stevens), Lan Bale at Queenstown tennis club. Andy’s experience in Queenstown also included squash coaching, ranging from beginners to the more competent players all year round. Prior to his arrival in NZ, Andy has experienced coaching all over the world, including a placement at Nick Bolliterri Tennis Academy, Boca Raton, Florida, USA.
He has played tennis competitively within the UK, and has actively been involved in the NZ Southern Selection process and employed as North Otago Selector for the Southern Under 16 Team.
